Outpost Records is an extension of the Echo Country Outpost community. It is our attempt
at creating a label environment for the release of lovingly crafted musical works that is
as nurturing and comfortable as our physical environment is for the performance of those
works. It is for our friends and our growing family of bands.

TOMMY SANTEE KLAWS "OF LIGHT"
Of Light combines Tommy's lilting, high voice with his characteristic startling phrasing, the plinkity-plink of a toy piano or the
wheeze of a child's whistle, braced by an accompanying deep baritone vocal. Add the visceral thump of the tall upright bass and
an assortment of guitars, violin, mandolin, and minimal but poignant drums, all wrapped up in strange, sad, yet oddly optimistic
compositions, and you get a sense of the overwhelming and joyous presence of Tommy Santee Klaws. "Of Light" treads hard on the
circle of life; from love, death and light, and while it is sure to overwhelm and inspire anyone new to the band, it likewise will not
disappoint any longtime TSK fan.

CHRISTIAN LEE HUTSON "WILL NEVER BREAK UP"
To merely call Christian Lee Hutson an old soul would be to deny the vibrancy of his sound. Championed by LA Record as
"sparse and graceful," Hutson writes songs that the SF Bay Guardian describes as, "...foreboding, bluesy love ballads
laden with longing nostalgia." Despite the maturity and commitment to tradition found in the 22-year-old singer-songwriter,
his songs vibrate with a youthful energy as if a drunk and sedentary George Jones was being channeled through a drunk and
animated Conor Oberst. Hutson's debut solo EP, "Will Never Break Up," marked his stylistic shift away from the dustbowl-era
sound of the recently defunct Driftwood Singers in favor of a more recent tradition of country songwriting in the vein of
Steve Earle and Dwight Yoakam.
